| Caton showing his trickiness |
James is an 18 year old who was previously at Bolton before being released, Caton plays on the wing and is very quick and loves to get passed his man.
Nigel Clough has snapped Caton up on trail, he has played two friendlies for the rams (Mansfield and Burton) so how did he play? Well against Mansfield Caton played in the second half team, he was good one the ball and always wanted to go down the wing and try to take a player on. He showed some positives on the ball which were his pace. It didn't take long for Caton to get into the game, he was one of the players that shone in a poor second half side.
Should Clough sign him?
Yes he should sign him, Caton is a player that I think the rams are missing someone who can run with the ball and is also very fast. Clough is set to announce in the next week or so if James will be signing for the club.
Valentin Gjokaj:
The lad is also an 18 year old from Switzerland, he had previously had trails at Newcastle United. His last club was Lucerne. Gjokaj played in both friendlies too, against Mansfield he did very well along side new boy Richard Keogh. He did everything right and looked very good, he was one of the best players on the pitch in the first half. Against Burton he was also good, winning most of the balls in the air and making some very good tackles. I think this will be a good signing for Derby because we need a CB so having Gjokaj on board would be good. He is also tall and big so this is another positive for Derby as they need to improve on the physical side.
Should Clough sign him?
Clough should snap the young lad up because it will mean another CB and another player which Derby need at the moment. He has good quality as we have seen in both of the friendlies so far.
