Derby County Second Half: Morch (GK); Brayford, Galinski, Buxton, Jones; Coutts, Hughes, Bryson, Caton; Tyson, Bennett.

Nigel Clough changed the whole team around completely giving the youth players a chance to shine. The rams found it difficult in the second half, especially in defence where they were all over the place.

James Caton the young trailist who was previously at Bolton before being released at the end of July made a great run in the first couple of minuets of the second half and looked very lively on the ball, Nathan Tyson could have scored too in the early minutes but his touch yet again let him down. Green for Mansfield took the ball well went past the Derby defence before the ball landed in the box,the Derby defenders couldn't get the ball out and Green managed to put the ball past Morch to make it 1-1. Mansfield had some great chances in the half looking very good on the ball and passing it brilliantly around the pitch. Derby's defence really did have a bad night, and on the 59th minute Mansfield sealed the victory with Meikle making it 2-1 to Mansfield, with a good shot outside the box. Derby had some chances towards the end of the game but nothing to test the Mansfield keeper.
