You could describe Derby's September as a rollercoaster, just as you think they are hitting top form they seem to lose their next game. With 9 points from 15 it wasn't a bad month for the Rams, beating their local rivals Nottingham Forest 1-0. Derby also breezed past Watford hitting 5 goals past them and managed to beat Charlton 3-2 at home too.
Jamie Ward was back in top form for the Rams in September, hitting 4 goals. With 3 wins in their last 5 Derby have moved up to 12th in the table, above their rivals Forest who are sitting 17th. Can the Rams carry on climbing up the table? October seems a tricky month for the Rams who have to play:
- Middlesbrough
- Brighton
- Blackburn
- Ipswich
- Peterborough
My player of the month for the Rams has to go to Jamie Ward,he has been very good over the past month. His pace and tricky is to much to handle for the defenders, other contenders for the player of the month are Paul Coutts and Richard Keogh who have both settled well.
