Match report: Germany 4-2 Greece

Germany too hot to handle as they stroll to success.
Germany celebrating their first goal
Germany started the game undefeated in the euro's winning all of their games so far, coming into the game manager Joachim Loew decided to rest 3 of his important players, Gomez,Muller and podolski. Could this of cost Germany in the game? Well it didn't Germany started well in the game passing it around for fun but just couldn't get passed the Greece defence. 30 minuets had gone by and Germany had a whooping 70% of the ball but they couldn't finish their chances, unfortunately for the Greece supporters they only managed to see their team pass the ball once every 2 minuets. With 39 minuets gone Lahm decided to get the ball and take a shot and what a goal it was, it swirled all over the place until landing in the bottom right hand corner. Germany needed to step up their game even more if they wanted to secure a place in the semi finals. The first half finished 1-0 with Lahm the scorer.

The second half started the same for Germany, with chances for Hummels and Schurrle. Ozil started to tease defenders with his quick feet and pace, but then on the 55th minute Greece sprang a surprise on Germany as a quick counter attack saw Greece level the game thanks to a Samaras goal, the 5000 Greek fans went mental as they couldn't believe what they were seeing, could Greece get another goal to progress into the semi final? Well Germany decided to show everyone what they are all about, Khedria with one of the best goals so far in this tournament ran into the box and smashed the ball home to put the Germans yet again in front. 7 minutes later Germany scored yet another goal this time Klose gets his goal from a cross by Ozil and headed it in to make it 3-1, with that goal it surely put Germany in to the semi finals, Germany wanted to be sure that they were in the semi finals with Reus making it 4-1 after a stunning striker which saw the ball fly in to the back of the net. This was to easy for the Germans as they made up for their disappointment  in the first half, however Greece did score a consolation goal after the ref gave a penalty for a handball by Boateng. Salpingidis took the penalty and calmly slotted it in the back of the net too make the final score Germany 4-2 Greece
