England V France Player Ratings

Players ratings out of 10.

Joe Hart- 7
When he was needed he did his job well, had a solid game.

Glen Johnson-6 
Didn't really do anything special in the game, pushed up fielding when needed.

John Terry- 6 
Did everything well when he needed to didn't really make a difference.

Joleon Lescott - 7
Took the goal well, made some good blocks and was there when needed.

Ashley Cole-7
Pushed up a lot and passed the ball well, also defended when needed to.

James Milner- 6
Not a good game in his books, should have scored but missed the target. 

Scott Parker-7 
Closed down the French players well and worked well with Gerrard in the middle of the park.

Steven Gerrard-7
Linked well with Scott Parker, motivated the other players well. Good captain. 

Alex Ox-Chamberlain- 7
The youngster has a very bright future ahead of him, did well in his first tournament and showed very good touches on the ball.

Ashley Young-6
Not a bad game,but wasn't one of his best games either. 

Danny Welbeck-8
Was England's best player, worked hard on his own upfront.

Subs:
Jordan Henderson-6
Did well when he came on, closed down very well and made the midfield look lively. But has come down with heavy criticism by fans. 

Jermain Defoe -6
Didn't really do much when coming on.

Theo Walcott-5
Came on late so didn't really see much of him.

England's next game- 15th June against Sweden
