Can England match the likes of Spain?

In my opinion no I don't think England can match the likes of Spain because England are lacking a creative player in the centre of the park, but however Spain have about 3 or 4 creative players in their team like the likes of Xavi and Iniesta.

The closest to a creative player that England have got in midfield is Jack Wilshere but the injuries have hit him  hard over the past year. After England's latest win against Sweden they were still missing that spark in midfield, Gerrard and Parker played well but they do lack creativity. The 3 creative players that Roy could pick for future England games could be:

-Jack Wilshere, yes he is injured which has stopped Roy from picking him for the euro's but would you pick him for future international games? Yes who wouldn't, he is one of the best young midfield's England have and they really need him to boost there squad even more.
- Paul Scholes, yes he is old but it is something that England are missing at the moment, he is someone that could give them another dimension.
-Tom Cleverley, he has played few games this season for Manchester United but is one to look out for in the future. He has played in the past for Wigan who are known as a good passing side, so could he give England more creativity?

With Spain thrashing Republic of Ireland in their last game 4-0, they showed why they are still contenders to win Euro 2012. They started the game off passing it round for fun, the likes of Iniesta and Xavi showed why they are the best Midfielders in the world, they play with no pressure unlike the English who seem to struggle in the centre of midfield. So why can Spain play like they do and England can't? well this is because all the way down to the Spanish  under 16's squad they play like the first team passing it around in triangles, so when they progress to the national side when they are older they will know how to play and gel quickly, if England want to do this then it will take them years because they will have to start all the way from the bottom and get the youngsters playing good decent passing football.

Both teams could face each other in the quarter finals if Spain win their group and England finish second in theirs, this will defiantly be a big test for England if they do face Spain because it will be likely England will park the bus and get Spain on the counter attack, but England shouldn't fear Spain they should play their own game. If England play hoof ball then this would stop Spain playing there tidy passing football and ruin their plans. My team if England do play Spain would be:

                                                                Hart
Johnson                       Terry                                  Lescott                            Cole
                                                     Parker          Gerrard
Walcott                                                                                                  Chamberlain
                                                    Welbeck
                                                                       Carroll

This is the best possible team I think could match Spain and stop them from playing their beautiful football, but with the Spanish team so powerful they can still overcome England. The number of creative players they have in their team could make England struggle in defence. Do you agree with me or do you think England could match Spain?
